It all started at Grimaldi's Pizzeria in April 2016.
Rob made pizza. Kendal loved pizza. Looking back, he may have had an unfair advantage.
But somewhere between making pizzas, talking baseball, and figuring out life as two 22-year-olds growing up in Las Vegas, something clicked.
They spent that spring and summer getting to know each other, building a friendship that neither could quite ignore was becoming something more. On October 27, 2016, they made it official.
What followed was nearly a decade of baseball games, career changes, unexpected challenges, adventures, and plenty of pizza. Through all the twists and turns of figuring out adulthood together, they discovered something even better than falling in love: having a best friend to go through it all with.
In January 2020, they moved in together. Somewhere along the way, a condo became home, Reptar the turtle joined the story, and life became a collection of little traditions, big memories, and everything in between.
They didn't rush it. They built it.
After nearly ten years together, Rob decided it was time to ask the big question.
The setting? Christmas morning at Ranch of the Roses, surrounded by family, presents, coffee, and all the usual holiday chaos.
Kendal? Barely awake. Pajamas. No makeup. Spectacular Christmas-morning hair.
Rob? Down on one knee, wearing a plush Santa poncho and holding a ring.
Kendal's first response?
"You're fucking kidding me?!"
She looked toward the camera, apparently seeking confirmation that this was actually happening.
From somewhere nearby, Taylor provided a much-needed reminder:
"You have to be fucking kidding me isn't an answer. You have to answer him!"
And somewhere between the disbelief, the laughter, and a Santa poncho, a ten-year love story got its next chapter.
Now they're making it official, right back where that unforgettable Christmas morning happened.
Same team. Next chapter. One really good party.
And now, after ten years, they're finally making it official—right where that unforgettable Christmas morning happened.
Same team. Next chapter. A whole new ballgame.
